blueAPACHE represented in two categories in the upcoming ARN Innovation Awards

blueAPACHE has been named a finalist across two categories in ARN Channel News' annual Innovation Awards.

The organisation celebrates:

The scale of the field

This year there were over 400 submissions for the ARN Innovation Awards, with the final shortlist made up of more than 40 managed service providers, systems integrators, software vendors and start-ups.

That ratio is what gives a finalist placement its weight. Roughly one submission in ten reached the shortlist, assessed by a judging panel against submitted evidence rather than decided by public vote.

Winners will be announced on Thursday 19 September.

About the awards

Since their inception in 2007, the ARN Innovation Awards have celebrated and rewarded excellence across the Australian channel, and they remain a pivotal event on the ICT calendar.

The programme spans the whole supply chain — the vendors that build technology, the distributors that move it, the partners and service providers that deliver it, and the individuals whose work drives all three.

Two categories, two different things

The dual representation is worth separating, because the categories measure different things.

Mid-Market Partner Value is an organisational award. It assesses the value a partner delivers to mid-market customers — the segment, not the technology. That framing matters for buyers: a provider optimised for enterprise or for small business is a different proposition however capable, because the operating models, response expectations and cost structures genuinely differ.

Sales Excellence is an individual award. It recognises a single person's performance and approach, assessed on its own merits rather than as a reflection of the organisation behind them.

An organisation appearing in both in the same year is being recognised on two independent axes at once.

What followed

This finalist placement sits early in what became a sustained record with the programme:

The company holds more than 90 industry awards, and also received the Canalys APAC Innovation Award in 2023.

Seven consecutive years in a single category is the figure that carries the most information. It describes performance sustained across a period spanning a pandemic, a global supply chain crisis, a leadership transition and a substantial platform rebuild — assessed each year by a different panel against a changing field.

Individual recognition at blueAPACHE

Daniel Bayfield's Sales Excellence placement is part of a broader pattern of individual recognition:

How to read award recognition

For an organisation assessing a technology partner, judged industry awards are one useful input among several.

What they tell you: that independent industry practitioners reviewed documented evidence and rated the work highly; that the recognition is category-specific, so a mid-market award is a claim about mid-market delivery; and — where recognition recurs across years under different panels — that performance is sustained rather than episodic.

What they do not tell you: service levels, contractual response times, coverage hours, or how a provider behaves during a serious incident. Those require direct assessment — references, contract terms, and specific questions asked before signing.

Awards shorten a shortlist. They do not make the decision.

Frequently asked questions

What was blueAPACHE shortlisted for? Two categories in the ARN Innovation Awards: a Mid-Market Partner Value finalist position for the organisation, and a Sales Excellence finalist position for Daniel Bayfield, Business Development Manager.

How competitive was the field? There were over 400 submissions, and the final shortlist comprised more than 40 managed service providers, systems integrators, software vendors and start-ups — roughly one submission in ten. The shortlist was decided by a judging panel assessing submitted evidence rather than by public vote.

What are the ARN Innovation Awards? An annual programme running since 2007 that recognises excellence across the Australian channel, spanning the vendors that build technology, the distributors that move it, the partners and service providers that deliver it, and the individuals behind all three.

Why does the page separate the two categories? Because they measure different things. Mid-Market Partner Value is an organisational award about the segment served rather than the technology used — which matters to buyers, since operating models, response expectations and cost structures genuinely differ between enterprise, mid-market and small business providers. Sales Excellence is an individual award assessed on one person's performance on its own merits.

What happened in the years after this shortlisting? blueAPACHE received its first ARN Innovation Award in 2019, won Mid-Market Partner of the Year in 2020 for the second consecutive year, was described as a five-time winner of the category by 2024, and in 2025 won it for the seventh consecutive time alongside Channel Choice Partner of the Year.

Which other blueAPACHE individuals have been recognised? Jayati Gulati (ARN 30 Under 30 Sales Excellence, and a WIICTA 2022 Shining Star Partner Award), Renata Di Stefano (WIICTA 2023 Shining Star – Partner Award), Rahwa Salew (WIICTA Rising Star), Angelina Priya and Quinita Lindley (WIICTA 2024 finalists), Ellie Sarabi (WIICTA 2026 Partner – Technical finalist) and Richard Bradley (Technical Excellence VCSP Award, 2024 Veeam ANZ Partner Awards, peer-nominated).

How much weight should a buyer put on industry awards? The page is explicit. They tell you that independent practitioners reviewed documented evidence and rated the work highly, that the recognition is category-specific, and — where it recurs under different panels — that performance is sustained. They tell you nothing about service levels, contractual response times, coverage hours or behaviour during a serious incident. Its conclusion: awards shorten a shortlist, they do not make the decision.
